Fathers Day history

The first fathers day was in Washington, June 19, 1910. 1908, July 5 a church sponsored the first event. The holiday spread throughout our country. 1916 president Wilson honored the day by a telegraph. This happened in Washington, D.C.  1924 states were urged to observe fathers day.
